Teaching

Teaching & mentoring

I enjoy helping students connect networking concepts with practical systems, embedded platforms, and experimental evaluation.

Lab teaching

Since Jan 2021

Wireless Sensor Networks Lab

Technical University of Munich · taught every semester since January 2021

The lab introduces students to practical wireless and embedded networking, from low-level programming and protocol fundamentals to team-based project implementation and evaluation.

  • Updated the main hardware platform used in the lab from Zolertia Re-Motes to the Nordic nRF52840 DK.
  • Upgraded the software stack and teaching material from Contiki to Contiki-NG.
  • Teach fundamentals of embedded programming, MAC protocols, and routing before students build group projects.
  • Support students in implementing, debugging, and evaluating networked embedded systems in a hands-on setting.

Student supervision

Over the course of my doctoral work, I have supervised more than 20 students through research internships, bachelor’s theses, and master’s theses, in some cases also in collaboration with industry partners.
